Panel Support Posts
The G6 arena is built from a stack of display panels, and the treadmill, camera, optics, and their mounts add up to a meaningful amount of mass on top. Rather than let the G6 panels carry that load, we print FDM posts that stand between the top and bottom panels and take the weight directly. This keeps the display panels from flexing or bearing structural load they were not meant to.
The posts are sized to the gap of the two-panel stack so the top panel rests on them at the correct spacing. They connect to the top and bottom G6 arena panels with 8-32 fasteners. There are hex-shaped slots in the spacers to fit 8-32 nuts within the posts for fastening.
Production files
Printed on an FDM printer; provided as an .stl for printing and an .stp (STEP) for editing, with no FreeCAD source (file types).
