Connect

Plug in a panel that is running firmware (USB-serial mode — not BOOTSEL), then connect and pick its port in the chooser.

Don’t press RESET / RUN — it re-enumerates the USB device and drops the link. (This monitor auto-reconnects if it does.) Production firmware prints its banner once at boot — before any host is attached, so it isn’t capturable over USB; the open connection is the all-clear, and it’s log-only afterward. The BCM self-test build waits for the host and adds a command console — try ? for help, i to (re)print the banner, or e0 to show the ERR glyph (all without a reset).
